I didn’t know that it would be this way
Until it just became the way it is
At first impulsively I coiled up tight
Against the truth of what was in plain sight
And then I realized this would not do
No room for fun inside a fist of fear
Instead I looked upon a grain of sand
Discovering where I was meant to land
